In my devotions this morning, I randomly decided to read in Philippians. As I was reading, I came across this verse. “Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.(4:11)” But how? How can I be content? In answer, two verses later I read, “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” It hit home. That was exactly what I needed to hear. I can’t be content without the help of Jesus. I thank and praise the Lord for having me read those verses on this particular morning. I pray to the Lord to give me the strength to be content.
